Clip art from Town and City Atlas, New Hampshire, 1892


The following images come from the 1892 New Hampshire Atlas.  This is maps, houses and landmarks from cities and towns in New Hampshire.  This particular set is from page 36.


The two images below are of the George Byron Chandler house.  They look like a dot matrix of a photograph of the house.  Yes, they did have photography at the time.  and it was the practice to render them through a screen to create a dot matrix for printing.








The image below is part of a map of Manchester NH.  If you look closely, you will see houses with the names of the owners.  You will see a shoe store, and a couple of businesses, and the Fire House.
